I Marshal Marquess Nodzu was bom . in 1844, and was a Kagoshima Samurai. He fought on the side of the Mikado in the war of the Restoration and with the Imperialists in the Satsuma rebellion. During the war with China he. captured Pinyang. He held the First Class Cross of Honor and Order of the House of Hohenzollern.
