Press Assn— By telegraph— Copyright. . (Received this day, 8.30 a.m.) LONDON, Yesterday. Forty-two competitors, including Rowland, started a 24 hours' walk at the Stadium. T. E. Hannon beat all records after 50 miles, including 100 miles in 18hrs 4min lOsec. He finally covered 131 miles 585 yards. Horton was second with 121 miles, and Wakefield third with 118. Rowland, retired after 15 hours.
