DANNEVIRKE CRICKET CLUB.
Tho annual meeting of the above was held last evening. Present : Messrs Drummond, Thorstensen, Bottrell, Phillips, Wright, Hansard, Brown, Nash, French, Hendy, Bingham, McKenzie, Standen, McCorkindale, 0. Heketa, T. Grant, Hunter and Deihl (seoretary). Mr Drummond was voted to the chair.
The report and balance-sheet were read and adopted.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Patron, Mr G. Hunter ; president, Mr W. F. Knight (both re-elected) ; vice-presidents, Messrs H. D. Knight, E. Etz, A. Spence, W. H. Hartgill, T. A'Bear, E. A. Hansom, W. G. Hunter, M. Morgan, Jas. Armstrong," and G. Potts ; secretary, A. Deihl (roelected); treasurer, P. Hansard. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Messrs. A. Nash and A. Deihl for their services during the past year as treasurer and secretary respoctfully. Mr Bottrell was elected captain; Mr Hansard, vice-captain: Mr Drummond, delegate to Sub-Association; Messrs French, Phillips and Thorstensen, selection .committee; Messrs Edwards, jL/rummond, Standen, Thorstensen, Brown, Yearbury, . Pettit, and Unvin, ground committee. A lottGr was received from the Hockey Association, and the ground committee wore deputed to attend to tho matter.
It was decided to approach the Makotuku Club with a view to forming a Sub-Association. It was resolved that the subscription bo the same as last year, 10s, youths under 18, 2s 6d. The committee were instructed to overhaul the gear, and ascertain the requircmentß**for the coming season. The following new members were elected: Messrs 0. Hoketa, J. Brown, J. Standen, 11. Hendy, E. Hendy, McCorkindale, Wilton and Hunter. A vote of thanks for the use of the room terminated the meting.
