JAUNDICE. This disease originates in an obstruction of the bile, which, owing to the interruption, is distribute^ through the system by the absorbent's. The symptoms are so strongly mrked as to render detailed description unnecessary. We may, however, remark that it is accompanied with a yellowness of the eyes and skin, a bitter taste in the mouth, and a sense of pain and xineasiness in the right side in the region ; 6f the liver.
