At last night's meeting of the Masterton Borough Council a resolution was carried that the'town clerk be instructed to take the necessary steps to take a poll of ratepayers to borrow the sum of £3000 for. the purposes of carrying out an extension of the drainage and- sewerage system of the borough. - A committee was also set up to analyse and examine two alternative che.mes by Mr Laing Meason in connection with the augumentation of the water supply, and report early as to which scheme should be adopted, or any other scheme, and same be submitted to the ratepayers.
