A shareholder of the Waihi East Gold Mining Company, who recently visited the mine at Waihi, states that the reef is of Considerable size, and in the low level shows increased values. The mine is owned by Napier, Dannevirke, and Auckland people. Some excitement, was caused in Station street about noon to-day, through one of two horses attached to a brake belonging to the D.C.A. falling in the shafts and bringing down its companion.
