STOCK AND COMMERCIAL REPORT. Hose. Ltd.. report as follows: — The last fortnight lias been a busy oiio for us. Tuesday, April 7th, Weber stock sale: We had a fair entry of sheep, and a good entry of cattle. Our largest entry of sheep did not find buyers under the hammer, but have since been sold privately at ruling rates. Cattle, 3}-year-old steers £4 los, 2* to 3-year-old steers £3 17s. AVednesday, April Bth: Mr Watson's clearing sals. All sold at satisfactory prices. Monday, April 13th, Norsewood stock sale : There was a good entry of both sheep and cattle. At no time during the safe was the bidding brisk, nevertheless we are able to report practically a. total clearance of the yards at the following rates: — 2tooth wethers 11s, breeding ewes 7s 6d to 9s, old ewes Is 4d to 2s 6d, lambs in the wool 3s to 7s 6(1, poorer sorts 3s. Cattle — Fat cows £4 to £5, 18-month steers 30s, heifers 20s, 4-year-old bullocks £6, dairy cows at the drop £5 to £6, weaners 4s and upwards. Tuesday, April 14th, Mr W. Mends' clearing sale : A good attendance, and every line was sold under the hammer at satisfactory prices.
