[press association.] CHRISTCHURCH.. last night. Mr D. K. Pritfchard had an interview to-day with Mr George GStead, which lasted over one hour, and discussed the position of matters at Blackball. As Mr Pritcliaxd "was not officially authorised to ■ commit the union to any arrangement tho conversation was merely general. Speaking to a press interviewer at Auckland, Mr McGowan said that the law must be carried out. He said it may be taken for granted that the Government will do what is right in the Blackball case, and the first thing is to collect this money.
