[press association.] AUCKLAND, to-day. It is likely that one of the most interesting features in the gala week on the occasion of the American fleet's visit will be a great Maori hui in Victoria Park. King Mahutu, who ia in Auckland, expressed himself as highly enthusiastic. He believes a native gathering could be held at Auckland on such a scale as has never been known before. As representatives of the original owners of the soil it would be a pleasure to welcome them, and that pleasure would be shared by his people. AUCKLAND, to-day. Hon. J.
