HOCKEY.
A meeting of enthusiasts of the above game was held in Mrs Morgan's tea rooms last evening, when there was a fair number present. Mr . G. li. Bartlett occupied the eliair, aryl explained, the desirability of forming .a club in Dannevirke. It was unanimously decided to form a club, to be called the Dannevirke Hockey Club, and the annual subscription was fixed at 2s 6d. Mr Urwin, of the' H.B. Clothing Factory, was elected secretary and treasurer, and it was resolved that the general electiqn of officers be left over to a subsequent meeting. Mr Bartlett made a donation to the club of two playing balls, for which ho received a vote of thanks. The meeting" then adjourned, with a vote of thanks to Airs IMorgaiij for the use of the room.
