All events (except cycling) will bo conducted under the Rules of the New Zealand Athletic Union. Bicycle events will bo governed by tho Rules of the League of New Zea- | land Wheelmen. Nominations, with proper fees for events numbered 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 24, 25, and 26, with last two years' performances, or if none during that period tho last twelve of any, must bo in the hands of the Secretary not later than- SATURDAY, January 25. Handicaps declared in tho Napier Daily Telegraph, Waipawa Mail, and Da>\nkvihke Advocate on or about TUESDAY, 4th February. Acceptances close on the ground. All other entries to be made on the ground at least 20 minutes beforo event to be contested. Assumed names not allowed. The handicappers reservo the right to re- ■ handicap the winner of any event after the handicaps are declared. Protests must bo put in writing and handed to tho Secretary within 15 minutes of disputed event, accompanied with a fee of 10s, which will be forfeited should the protest be deemed frivolous. On no account will an attendant bo allowed to accompany or wait upon a competitor inside the ring. No competitor will be allowed inside the ring except during the time of event in which ho is competing. No competitor will be allowed to compete in any event until his entrance fees are paid. i In all events, Irish Jig exeoptod, ' competitors must appear H proper i costume, viz., running events, clothing from shoulders to the knots, that is jersey (sleeved m elbow) and loose drawers or trunks.
