A shooting cas« i,s reported from Lautokt), Fiji, whore a native girl named Mary, engaged as nurse by Mrs Mocha m, was found shot doiid in her bedroom. It is thought that tho girl was handling a revolver, when it exploded. • AUCKLAND, Yesterday. A woman named Mrs Elizabeth 15lack, 'AS. wife of a fisherman, died this morning as tho result of burns received the previous evening. Tho accident arose through a cloth with which tho deceased was wiping up some kerosene on tho floor coming in contact with a lighted candle, which caused ilames that immediately envelnped the woman.
