MUNICPAL ADMINISTRATION.
SYDXEY, July 25. The Lord Mayor has made an important offer to the Government which may lead to changes in municipal administration. The basis of the offer is that the municipality should have ihe right oi' (■(■ licet ii;g Ihe city land tax, and in return the Council will relieve tlie Government of the Hock.; area, which was resumed during the plague outbreak, and other services, involving an outlay of £-30,000 annually. The council will widen certain streets, and generally beautify the city.
