* WILLIAMS AND KETTLE. Messrs Williams and Kettle, Ltd., held their usual fortnightly sale at Woodville yesterday, when they offered a very big yarding of both sheep and cattle, most of which changed hands at good prices. Sheep especially were in good demand, in most cases prices realised being much in advance of vendors' reserves. Cattle were not as brisk as at last sale, but fat cattle and young steers all sold at satisfactory prices. Quotations : Fat and forward wethers 17s Bd, young ewes 16s Bd, lambs 9s 5d to lls Id, empty ewes (forward) 12s 6d, f.m. ewes in lamb 9s 4d to 12s Id, fat bullocks £6 18s, fat cows £4 to £4 16s 6d, springing cows £4 10s to £5 10s, yearling steers 24s to £2 Is, weaners 12s 6d to 14s 6d, 2£year steers £3 10s, store cows 30s fid to £2.
