A PECULIAR CASE.
LONDON, June 9. Mr J. D. Burnyeat, M.P. for Whitehaven, was summoned at the London Police Court for drunkenness. He pleaded that his condition was due to the effects of chlorodyne taken to relieve griping pains. He was acquitted.
