Messrs Fletcher Bros invite tenders for felling 200 acres of bush.

The annual meeting of subscribers to the Nigb.tAvatcb.man Fund will be held on Wednesday evening. A full attendance is requested, as most important business is to be considered.

Mr George James advertises for a smart boy to learn the painting trade. Salvation Army Biorama Co. at Drill Hall to-morrow night. Saunders and Hall advertise ten quarter acre sections opposite Mangatera railway station for sale. Akitio County Council invites applications for position of ranger, also tenders for building a bridge.

Miss Freeman notifies the arrival of new stocks of crockery , glassware, and fancy goods, all especially suitable for the home and for presents. Miss Freeman is agent for several popular makes of pianos and organs, and also for the Wertbeim sewing machines.

Mr Wysocki, tailor, has just opened up a fine stock of winter suitings, whk-h is well worthy of inspection by those who desire to have a good suit of clothes.

On July 3 Mr W. Rose will hold a sale of sawmill plant and machinery situated on sections 8 and 9, block 5, Mangatoro survey district, and known as McAlley's. Messrs Mounsey and Co., the wellknown auctioneers, have been instructed to hold a great sale of marble and franite tombstones and monuments, on. ehalf of £. IWdall and Co., of Palmerston, who are removing to more commodious yards. The stock comprises a number of handsome and artistic memorials, and the sale will take place on the premises, opposite the Palmerston North, railway station, on Friday, June 2.1.
