(Received tjtis day ,'af7.3sa.m.) St. Petebsbttbg, January 30. The Holy Synod adjures the orthodox to support the Czar and clergy, since without orthodoxy and autocracy Russia will' be ruined. The Synod declares that foreign enemies have contributed considerable sums to create a civil war and cause strikes, thus preventing the despatch of reinforcements and supplies to the Far East. The Synod denounces Father Gapon as a criminal and an impudent priest, who is r now before the Ecclesiastical Court for breaking his vows and forcibly removing from his chapel sacred relics in order to deceive the workmen.

An extraordinary council of prominent advisers at Tsarkoeselo advised the Czar to adhere to the reform programme already announced.

While the Chief of Police states that all is quiet at Warsaw, other accounts indicate that wholesale pillaging of many large shops is going on. The sacking of Stale vodka and gunsmiths' shops is also reported. Numerous collisions have occurred between the strikers and Cossacks, the latter being especially brutal. London, January SO.
