Mi- H. Graham, of Umutaoroa, is now busily engaged in converting his surplus urass into ensilage. Mr Graham's silos last year were a thorough success, and provided bis cows with an abundance of rich food at a time when grass was short. In making ensilage, the farmer does not wait for dry weather, in fact, the more damp the grass when put into tlie silo* the" better the product. Tin's is a great advantage when the season is a broken one, like the present. Mrs Golding advertises for a general servant, also young man to drive horse and cart.
