CADET BATTALION PARADE.

•The first parade of the 2nd Jlawke's Bay Public School Cadet Battalion was held on the Dannev^rke racecourse, yesterday. The following companies were oh parade :—Woddville No. I (Capt. Bagley), Darinevirke North No. 1 (Gapk Olsen), Dannevirke South (Gapt. Brown), Ndrsewood and Takapau detachments (Capt. Caughley), Makotuku and Ormohdville detachments (Capt. Johnston),. Woodville No. 2 (Capt; mcoll), and Dantievirke North No. *2. (Capt. Best). TKe companies assembled at tiio Railway Station on the arrival of, the morning; trains from Woodville and W.aipukurau. The parade was under the command of ' Major Stevenson, of Woodville, who had. with him Captain and Adjutant Curd and: Quartermaster Sonndy. The. total number on parade was 274.
