■. * The semi-final and final in the handicap singles tournament were played on the local bowling green yesterday afternoon. In the eemi-final, the game resalted in a win for G. L. Bartlett over his opponent, F- B.Storey, by 33 to 25. The final wa& then played betweeu Bartlett and Hawkins, the former again being the victor by 25 to 19. This was a most interesting game, the players being even at times. Bartlett (who had a handicap of 8) succeeded in scoring one at the first head, adding one each at the next two heads, and two at the fourth, bringing bis score up to 13 before Hawkins (with a handicap of 8) had gained a point. However, at the fifth head" the* latter got one in, and he added one at each of the next three heads, two at the ninth and one at the tenth, the score at the tenth head being: Hawkins 15 and Bartlett 14. At the eleventh and twelfth heads Bartlett added two singles and Hawkins got one in at the thirteenth. At the next two heads Bartlett added one and two respeotively to his score, while at the seventeenth Hawkins got in a single. Bartlett secnred two more points at the next head (the 18th) when the score stood— Bartlett 20, Hawkins 18. At the 19th head Hawkins added another, single to his score, but Bartlett was not to be denied and at the 20th and 21st heads added three and two respectively to his score, which then stood at 25.
