About one o'clock to-day, Mrs L. Rattray was thrown fr<Sm a trap on the Ash burton bridge and killed almost simultaneously. Mrs Babington, who was with her, was badly bruised. The cause of the accident was the horse shying at some timber lying on the bridge for repairs to the structure. What make? the case more sad is that Mrs Rattray's husband died suddenly yesterday from blood poisoning.
