(per press association. 1 ) Wellington, This day, The annual report of the directors of the Wellington -Mnnawatu Railway Company, which recommends payment at the rate of sis per cent per annum and a bonus of 2s per share, shows that the gross earnings of the railway wore Lll 1,398, beiug L 7.000 greater than the previous year. The laud sold dining the year amounted to L 31.812. The revenue from traffic w^s LIO9.IGS and from land L54,5i>8. The«o, with the balance from last year and amounts received for deposits and interest, raise the total receipts to L 251,590. The total expenditure was L' 232,165, including L 10.361 for dividends and cash balances amounting to L 9,424. The net profit on the railway acQount was L 10.361 and on the laud account L 4,305. The amount not available for dividends is set down as follows:— Land account on 28th February, 1902, L5<3,370 ; net profit on land sales for year ended February, 1903, L.30,911 ; total LBG.2S3. The assets amount to Ll ,002, 128. Shillings and peuce are omitted in each instance.
