INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION.
An effort should be made by the residents of this town to carry out an Industrial Exhibition next year. Feilding, with a smaller population than Dannevirke, has made an excellent beginning, and surely what can be done in the former town in the direction referred to, can also be accomplished here. As most of our readers know, industrial exhibitions furnish a wide field for the pleasure and instruction of the people, thereforo no difficulty should be experienced in finding a sufficient number of citizens in Dannevirke to take the matter up and carry it to a successful fruition. The exhibition would be a groat advantage to Dannevirke. It would tend to bring under the notico of people in other parts of the colony the capabilities of this district, and possibly have an influence in the work of settlement which is now going on. There are nifty other benefits to be derived by holding an industrial exhibition in Dannevirke, and in these circumstances we hope our suggestion will receive consideration.
