Political and Pastoral Charges.
(By Electric Telegraph— Copyright.) (Received-^This day, 8.40 a.m.) Paris, March 22. M. Combes, in the Senate, said if insulting political and pastoral charges were continued, the Government would denounce the Concordat, which was only maintained on condition that the clergy did not interfere in political and civil life. The Senate, by 188 to 89, approved of the statements of the Government, counting on its firmness to defend the rights of the State, and ordered the speech to be placarded.
