The City of Tauntou, a cargo steamer, collided with the steumer Plymouth, carrying five hundred passengers, in Long Island South during a fog. Six of the Plymouth's crews who were asleep in their bunks were drowned. Twelve were injured. Both steamers reached New Loudou. Paris, March 21. The total three years' deficit in the Freuch Budget is L 25.500.000. The Budget Committee recommends the Government to economise in the army and navy, and a reorganisation of the fiscal administration and fresh taxation is to be anuouncel.
