Sutherland (New Zealand) ran third m the Cumberland Handicap Half Mile Sprint, which Farley (Victoria) won m 57 seconds. Farley also won the Clarence Handicap, two miles, beating Randrup (New Zealand) by a wheel. Time, 4min 2osec. The League of Wheelman suspended Pye the Victorian, McDonald the Westralian and Beauchamp the Tasmaoian, for' three months for not taking part m the pacing m the semi-final of the Sydney £1000 Handicap, wherein Major Taylor ran fifth.
