(Received Sept. 30, 10.20 a.m.) Melbourne, This day. At the Conference of Military Commandante all the colonies were represented. Lord Bvassey hoped the outcome would be a united Australian contingent, proof to the mother that ber children were standing shoulder to shoulder in vindicating their common rights, and an indication of the loyalty of the colonies. The Minister of Defence made a similar speech. The Victorian Commandant presided. The conference discussed the proposed numerical strength, arming, and pay of the contingent. Its decision will not be known till the close,
