Incendiarism.

Thera is no room for doubt that au incendiary is at -~ork in this district. Last night at about 10 o'clock, two oat stacks on Messrs Co,wp«r and Knight's Kaitoke property we-.n destroyed by fire. Close by the barb wire in the fence had been out with some sharp instrument, and it is certain that the stacks were wilfully fired. Megirs Cowper and Knight's loas is about £130. This malicious destruction of valuable property is alarming-, and it is to be hoped that the perpetrators will not be at liberty very long. In view of last night's fire there seems to be some ground for i suspicion that the destruction of Mr C. Walker's barn in the Umutaoroa on Wednesday night was another case of iucendiarigiu.
