Manchester's "Loch Katrine."
The engineer for the Thirlmere scheme states that the whole length of the aqueduct — ninety-six miles — is completed, and some eighty miles have beon tested. In a few, months it is hoped to bring water into Mancheater at the rate of 10,000,000 gallons per day, although the aqueduct is made so that it can bring in 50,000,000 gallons daily.
