The Advocate will be issued earlier than usual on Tuesday afternoon. Ou Wednesday morning we shall issue a special edition giving the results of the elections, so far as known, throughout the colony. This paper will be dispatched to agents by the early train, and will be delivered in town as usual. The Ormondville school has had a very good percentage of passes. We big to congratulate Mr Westall on his good results. Mr H. Hill examined the Makotuku school yesterday. Mr Carlile has requested us to stato that as he cannot get either of ,the halls at Noreetvood he has had to abandon the idea of holding a meeting there.

At Mr Carlile's meeting lasfc night in reply to a question of a psrsonal character by Mr Rose as to his chances of election he (Mr Carlile) said lie thought if anyone had been at his Woodville meeting of the night previous they would not have thought they were bad. The room waa crowded to the door. He was greeted with ringing cheers at almoit every pause. At the close a vote of confidence was carried without a single no. They would have thought there was not a Hunterito or a Hallite in Woodville. A misleading report of his Mangatainoka meeting had been sent to the Bush Advocate, as he now knew, by a gentleman who was stumping the district lately in the interests of another candidate. Tha motion which it was said was carried was nofc even seconded, as appeared from the Pahiatua Herald's more accurate report. The meeting was a good one, and he had letters telling him thafc a number of votes had gone over to him as the result of it. ,

Our Matamau correspondent writes under yesterday's date :— Mr Hall addressed a crowded meeting of electors at Matamau at noon to-day, about 20 ladies being present, and Mr France, Sen, in tho chair. At the conclusion of the meeting Mrs Nordlof said she hoped they would all show thoir good sense and give Mr Hal] their vote in the coining election, as he was the man for the people. She also moved a vote of thanks and confidence. Mrs Box seconded the motion, which was carried unanimously, the ladies giving Mr Hall three ringing cheers and a floral reception. Mr G. Hunter addressed a fair gathering in the school-house afc Matamau yesterday afternoon. Mr Schaare occupied the chair. Mr Hunter, who j was received with applause, then gave his address, and at the conclusion resumed his seat amid loud applause. No questions were asked. A hearty vote of thanks and confidence was Eroposcd Mi Mackay, and seconded y Mrs Thompson and carried. Three cheers were given for Mr Hunter. We have been requested by one of our advertisers to correct an error in another column. What should have appeared is :— ' Many of the lines to be found in the stores at 2s and 2s Gd each are sold by the fancy goods shops at ls, and will be found on their ls tables.'
