The' Board met at Napier on Tuesday: 5 Present— Hon J. D. Grmond, M.L.C. (chairman), Eev D. Sidey, Captain Russell, M.H.R., and Messrs F..V7.. Williams, J. G. Qilberd, J. W. Carlyle^and P; Sutton. , Correspondence was .read— From D&herirke^recommending that the new teacher's residence should be built further from the school than the . old one, and that the, master receive bouse allowance whils the house was building.^Approved. ' ., 1( From Herataunga, claiming £12 10s ' for shelter shed.— To be paid ' on building being passed. From the late committee, Makotuku, Btating reasons why they re- ,., : ,Bigped,T-Received. ' ' From Manga-atua, the committee threatening to .- resign unless more accommodation was provided. -pThe Secretary reported that there was accommodation for 75 cbilden,'and only 60 attended.
