WOOL AND SKIN SALES.

"WILLIAMS AND KETTLE, LIMITED's, KEPOBT. At our Spit auction rooms on Wednesday morning we submitted 2379 sheepskins, 2!) boles and 13 bags of wool, C casks and 2 packages of tallow, and 91 hides to a full attendance of buyers. Sheepskins sold well and realised full market values, prime half-bred touching 6d, enssbred 5j to S^d. The supply of crutching wool is now about exhausted, and the small quantity offered to-day found ready buyers at full rates. A fine, well got up parcel realised s|d. Hides met with ati extremely flat market, and all excepting a few_ light cow hides had to be passed in for shipment on owner's account. Prices ranged as follows : — Sheepskins.— Half-bred, sid to Gd ; crossbred, 5d to. s^d ; hoggets, 4d to sid ; green skins, 3s 6d to 3.-' 9d each. Tallow. -Clean, l|d to l§d; discolored, l£. Wool.— Mixed fleece, sid to 6jd ; clean dead wool <5d to "Ad ; pieces, 4sd to 5d ; crutchings, firsts 4Ad to • sid, seconds 3d to 3id"; daggings, id to Hd ; scoured pieces, 7Ad ; inferior black fleece, sld. Our next sale will be held on the 7th September. hawke's bay fakmees' co-operative association, limited's, report. We held our usual sale of wool, skins, and hides on Wednesday, when we submitted a good catalogue. There was a full attendance of buyers, and prices were satisfactory. Wool. — Scoured merino fleece sold at 9jd, pieces at 6|d : greasy crutchings at froni 3sd to 4Ad, pieces 4jd. Sheepskins. — Crossbred skins sold up to sjd "; and for one nice lot we obtained 6d. Hides.— Good heavy hides were in good demand ani sold at 3,\d, lighter sorts from lfd to 2jd. Our next sale takes place en September 7th.
