(To the Editor.) Srßj-^With your kinii. permission I will refresh Mr Hagensen's memory as regards the loan to the Town Board that he accuses me of being a party to. The facts plainly stated are these : —After jtjij^ Danevirke t and Waipawa associations were formed they Igreed to start forming and metalling the road from the commencement of tha Block, that ._, ther 'boundary of Mr Shanly _ section. Ata meeting of the Road Board, at which I* was not present, some of the members altered it and started from the/Bail way Station Road, ancTthe next meeting when the minutes came, to be confirmed I entered a protest;'- which any person can see by looking at the minute book. The I)anevirke association called a meeting and my worthy friend was there to protest against the illegal expenditure iof | the money on a Town Board road, ana the members that were at that meeting agreed to share th« : eip__s_ the members of the Board who voted for spending the money refund it.
