The Shearera' Union has' issued a manifesto to the effect that in consequence of the Pastoralists Union having declined to have any further dealings 1 with the Union unless sheepowners are allowed the option of employing union or nonunion labor, there is' • nothing left but to fight the matter out to an end. At a meeting of delegates from the, pastoralists, shipowners, and, stevedores' associations it was determined to mako a firm stand. The stevedores' laborers are said to be firm in their determination not to handle the wool shorn by non-union men. The marine officers and shipowners have arranged for a conference to-morrow.
