AUSTRALIAN. [By Submarine Cable.] Melbourne, Oct. 30. The Alhambra, s.s., arrived on Sunday, and the Arawata, s. s., to-day. The Tararua sailed to. day, and the Alhambra sails on Friday. Melita is firmer at 100 to 12 ; Firebell is easier, 100 to 10 ; Calamia, 100 to 8 ; 100 to G offered for anything else ; only the first two horses are backed. Sydney, Oct. 30. The Estimates are tabled ; the total £5,366,070; increase, £467,771. The Statement will probably be made on Wednesday. The Powers and Privileges of Parliament Bill has passed the House of Assembly. A ketch has arrived at Maryborough in Queensland, with one of the missing boats and five survivors of the wreck of the Onward.
