THE TINY YELLOW FLOWER
I walked alone in a field one day And spied a flower in the hay, 'Twas early in the month of May I saw this yellow flower. I stayed a while to watch it ptey. To dance with breezes in the hay; It dancetj with May winds through the day, The tiny yellow flower. And when the day had crept away, And when the breezes would not play, This tiny flower' amongst the hay Closed un and slept till the dawn of day. —Pamela Geary, 13 (original).
