REORAPA IS RIGHT
SECOND WIN ON END Having raced Rakanui with-outstanding success, o\yner R. Jeffares has another good one in the Hunting Song geldjng Reorapa. who won the Shorts Handicap at .Trentham on Saturday. Though he had not raced since running fourth in the August Handicap at Riccarton in August, he took a division of, the.Solway Handicap at Masterton just over a week ago as a prelude to his- Wellington success. Winner of five races last term, which he wound up with successes at Hastings and Awapuni, Rcoropa appears to have overcome an early tendency which he developed to run wide in his races—a fault which cost him some early stakes. However, he is a brilliant horse who should go on to much higher honours. Reorapa is out of Linguist, a half-sister to Indian Sign and Counter Flight. Linguist is by Paladin from Countersign a winner of the Dunedin Guineas. Reorapa is trained by Mrs. L. Campbell.
