Indications that the past year had been one of considerable progress were contained In the report submitted to the annual meeting of the Auckland branch of the Quantity Surveyors' Institute of New Zealand, which was held • recently. The following officers were elected:— Branch chairman. Mr. H. B. Sommerville; vice-chairman, Mr. S. C. Hines; branch board, Messrs. Wilson, Reeves, Giles, McKerras, McKay and Burkinshaw; hon. secretary. Mr. K. B. McKerras.
