DANGEROUS LEVEL CROSSING
SCENE OF FATAL ACCIDENT

The level crossing over the main trunk railway on Kimihia Road, Huntly North, known as Suttie s Crossing, has been closed to vehicular traffic. It was at this crossing that four people recently lost their lives as the result of the motor car in which they were travelling being struck by an express goods train.
In response to a request by the Huntly Borough Council that the crossing be closed to vehicular traffic and a turnstile be provided for pedestrians, a fence was erected across the crossing by the Railway Department on Friday. f
