PATRIOTIC FUND

FUTURE ACTIVITY CONFERENCE TO BE HELD p.A. WELLINGTON, this day. Regarding the question of future patriotic activities, the National Patriotic Fund Board is to submit a full report on the subject to the National Patriotic Conference to be held in Wellington on November 21. The board has decided to supply to New Zealand troops going to Japan sports gear, cinema plant, radio sets and Y.M.C.A. equipment, and also to make monthly grants for welfare activities. Similar provision will be made for any garrison force required in the Pacific Islands. Advice has been received that the British War Relief Society, New York, was remitting £6000 as a filial memorial fund for such war relief purposes as the board considers necessary.
