MANY SOUTHERN HORSES A large contingent of South Island horses has been nominated for the Auckland Trotting Club's meeting at Alexandra Park on Saturday and Monday, October 20 and 22, those in the £1750 Victory Handicap being Lady Dawn, Claremorris, Sea Born, Highland Scott, Joan Conquest, Knave of Diamonds, Parrish Lad and Night Beam. ELECTRIC HANDICAP of £830, one mile and a quarter, limit 2.43.—Sports Guide, Lady Dawn, Double Peter, Stuart Lee, War Guard, Claremorris, Alcazar, Hillcrest, Sea Born, Highland Scott, Black Label, Medical Student, Volo Senwod, Te Roto, Knave of Diamonds, Gallant Chief, Parrish LAd, Night Beam, Prince Grattan.
