RECORDING SUGGESTED
TELLING NEWS TO FLUFF
A large circle of Star readers have taken a keen interest in the predicament of Fluff, the dog belonging to Bandsman George Plimer,'who has returned from a prisoner of war camp in Japan, where he lost both feet through Jap neglect. Dozens of offers of financial assistance were received to.meet the cost of quarantining the dog and many sighs of relief were breathed when it was learned that Fluff was to be allowed ashore at Somes Island.
A correspondent, "W. 8.," has now come forward with a suggestion as to how Fluff, who is fretting for his master, could be encouraged to believe that all is well.
"Could someone with the apparatus take a recording of Bandsman Plimer's voice talking to Fluff and encouraging him to eat his food?" she asks. "Also I would suggest that a list of his preferences in respect to food should be sent to Somes Island. The food Fluff has been used to eating may be quite different from the diet on Somes Island.
