DRAPER'S DENIAL
ALLEGED RECEIVING
A draper, Simon Levin (43), was charged in the Police Court with receiving on August 1 twenty rolls of material valued at £188, the property of the Paramount Bedding Company, Ltd., and with receiving between February 19 and August 19, five pieces of material valued at £25, belonging to the same firm, knowing the property to have been dishonestly obtained. Senior Detective Trethewey prosecuted and accused was represented by Mr. I. J. Goldstine. Accused, who pleaded not guilty to both charges, was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. Bail was allowed.
