APPOINTMENT TO UNRRA
BRIGADIER T. J. KING P.A. .WELLINGTON, Monday. Brigadier T. J. Kings New Zealand Army Ordnance Corps, Wellington, has been appointed to an important position on the staff of Unrra. His work will be either in Austria or Germany and is concerned with the returning to their homes of millions of refugees in Europe. He will leave Wellington on Wednesday night, travel to Sydney by flying-boat, and then take the Lancastrian service to London.
Brigadier King has had previous experience of similar work as officer in charge of the supplies and relief branch of the British land forces in Greece under General Sir Ronald Scobie. He is just completing his leave after long service overseas. He will be seconded from the New Zealand military forces to take up his new appointment.
