SURGEON'S WORK
A tribute to the late Colonel D. N. W. Murray was paid this morning at a meeting of the Auckland Transport Board by the chairman. Mr. W. H. Nagle. Colonel Murray had been a medical officer to the board for 20 years before going overseas in 1941 and it was not possible to describe in words the kindly and efficient service he had given, said Mr. Nagle. He had been a distinguished and capable doctor and it was to his great credit that he had chosen to go on active service at an age when he might well have left it to. younger men. Members of the board stood 'in silence as a mark of reppect.
