Empire Lagan, Blue Funnel, aircraft carrier, berthed at the Western Wharf, is scheduled to sail to-morrow for Sydney. (H. and M.) , . Empire Falkland (Blue Star Line) is due from Melbourne in ballast on Sept. 18 and will load for the United Kingdom to sail about September 25. Hororata (N.Z. Shipping Co.) is expected from Liverpool early in October with general cargo for discharge at Auckland and Wellington.

UNION COMPANY FLEET Karepo is expected to-night from Westport with coal. Kaimiro leaves Greymouth to-morrow morning for Auckland. Karetu leaves for Auckland from Lyttelton to-morrow. Waipiata is scheduled to sail for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and Timaru to-night. Kiwitea sails for Greymouth when her crew is completed. Kairanga, after survey, loads for Sydney. Korowai returns to Lyttelton early next week. Matua, after discharge of fruit and copra, sails on Monday, Sept. 17, for Suva, Tonga and Apia. SHIPS IN PORT Western Wharf. —Empire Lagan.
