MANUFACTURE OF TYRES
P.A. WELLINGTON, this day. Since the granting of licenses to manufacture motor tyres in the Dominion, numerous inquiries from both the motor trade and motSrists have been received regarding the future of his company's products in New Zealand, said Mr. F. H. Whatley, managing director of the Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Co., of New Zealand, Ltd., to-day.
Mr. Whatley confirmed the statement made by an, official of the Dunlop Co. that Goodyear tyres will be manufactured in the Dunlop plant. Each company will employ its own methods, and Goodyear tyres will be made strictly to their own specifications in accordance with their overseas practice.
