PICTURES ON SUNDAY
TE KUITI, Tuesday. The Waitomo County Council has granted an applicant in the Benneydaie area permission to screen pictures on Sundays. Tne application was supported by the Benneydale Miners' Union. It was stated that a? the mine was working light shifts Sunday was the onl'v dav in the week on which all the miners could attend the pictures in company witn their wives. In granting permission, in view of the s'leciai circumstances, the council reserved the rignt. to review the position c-t any time
