WORK WELL ORGANISED Accumulated material relating to . cancer research in Auckland over the past 15 years had now been brought up to date and was easy of access for purposes of analysis, stated a report received at the i annual meeting of the Auckland branch of the British Empire , Cancer Campaign Society last night. Arrangements for the future collection and compilation of data were now so organised, said the registrar, Dr. H. Gaudin, that the work proceeded automatically and he was able to dispense with the help of a full-time clerical assistant. During the past year a detailed statistical analysis of the incidence of cancer and the results of treatment in several major sites had been made and circulated throughout New Zealand.' The financial statement showed that the income for the year- ending March 31 last amounted to £244 8/6, which, with a balance of £459 13/4 brought forward at the beginning of the year, made a total of £704 2/10. The expenditure amounted to £215 13/5, leaving a credit balance of £488 9/5.
