N.Z'S WAR EFFORT
STAMP ISSUE SUGGESTED Parliamentary Reporter. WELLINGTON, this day. A notice of question by Mr. A. S. Richards (Govt., Roskill), on behalf of Mr. R. McKeen- (Govt., Wellington South), in the House of Representatives this morning asked the Post-master-General whether he' would take' into immediate consideration the question of issuing a special set of postal stamps to commemorate New Zealand's great war effort. - A note to the question stated that excellent war issues of stamps had been produced by Canada, South Africa and Australia during the war, each pictorially showing the contribution of the respective countries to the war effort. Commemorative stamps were a recognised source of revenue and there was a constant demand for them by dealers and collectors all over the world.
